Why did you choose UH Law?
I didn't want to be separated from the love of my life.
What were you doing before you started Law School?
I held various positions at Star Market including Produce Department Head.
Where are you headed after you graduate?
No idea, just following where the Lord leads me.
Describe a highlight of your law school experience.
Meeting numerous distinguished judges. If lawyers are a different breed, judges are a different species.
Describe a fellow student or professor or mentor who has inspired you.
In law school, you expect brilliance and confidence. What you don't expect is to have all those qualities, plus kindness and modesty. I'm inspired everyday by my fellow students among whom these qualities are available in abundance.
Describe your favorite organization and some activities related to that organization.
So far the Ambassador program has been the most interesting organization. I really enjoy giving tours to people who were in the same shoes I was just a little more than a year ago.
Describe your UH law school experience in 3 words.
Fun. Exhausting. Enlightening.
What advice would you give to an entering law student?
Listen carefully at orientation. There is a lot of good advice there. Learn to cook large portions so you don't spend too much time/money. The microwave is your friend.
What surprised you most about UH Law?
Helpful, friendly upperclassmen.
What do you wish someone had told you before you started law school?
"Live like there's no tomorrow, love like nothing else matters."
What law school organizations/activities are you involved in?
Law School Ambassadors, FLSA, PALSO, LAMBDA, APIL, SPOCE, and Hui.
Where can we find you when you're not in class?
Conference tables at the Library, student lounge, any of the various seminar study rooms.
What do you like most about UH Law?
Learning something practical.
