Biography

Daniel James Kunkel graduated with a bachelor’s degree in German and English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988, and juris doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1993. He is licensed to practice law in California, Colorado, the District of Columbia, Florida, Hawai`i, Minnesota, and New Mexico. Daniel clerked for Justice Paula Nakayama of the Supreme Court of Hawai`i, and he has worked as a litigation attorney for the Honolulu Department of Corporation Counsel, McCorriston Miller Mukai MacKinnon, and Ashford & Wriston.   Daniel currently works as a staff attorney for the Hawai`i Intermediate Court of Appeals.
