Mr. Gelber received his bachelor's and law degrees from Stanford University in 1961 and 1963, respectively. He practices predominantly in the fields of corporate reorganizations, business bankruptcy, and federal litigation, including complex litigation involving securities fraud and multi-district litigation. He has represented a major party in almost every major business bankruptcy case in Hawaii over the last 30 years. Mr. Gelber has also represented parties in proceedings in California and Guam, and has served at various times as Special Counsel for the State of Hawaii. He is the author of numerous articles and professional publications and has been a lecturer at local and national professional seminars on bankruptcy and insolvency matters and creditors' rights.
