Karen Schneiderman provides reference and instructional services at the Law Library and teaches Legal Research to first year law students.

She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the Ohio State University.  She earned her juris doctor from the University of Toledo and has been licensed to practice law since 1984. After admission to the Ohio bar, Karen practiced law for 20 years in various litigation capacities including as a staff attorney for the county public defender, in a small personal injury law firm, and for a union that represents public-sector employees.  She also ran a legal aid office and served as a judicial attorney for a county domestic relations court. Karen received her Master’s in Library and Information Science from Kent State University in 2006. She has worked at law school libraries in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York.  She joined the faculty of the William S. Richardson School of Law Library in August 2013.
