Michael Town, is a retired Circuit Court judge for the State of Hawai‘i, who presided over Criminal and Family Court trials from 1979 to 2010. Judge Town served on a variety of judiciary committees including the Restorative Justice Committee and the Committee on Jury Innovations. He speaks to judicial groups nationally and internationally on issues including Judge as Coach, Judicial Resilience and Burnout, Problem Solving Courts and The Unified Family Court. Prior to becoming a judge, he was instrumental in the landmark case against the United States Navy to stop using the island of Kaho‘olawe as a target for bombing exercises.
