Frank Boas, who was a philanthropist, successful lawyer, board member of the UH Foundation and numerous other non-profit boards, and global citizen, passed away on March 16, 2013. Frank was one of the most ardent friends and supporters of the William S. Richardson School of Law. His generosity was a large factor in the success of the Law School’s international programs, including Pacific Asia Legal Studies (PALS) and the LLM program. In addition, he supported the Frank Boas Harvard Visiting Professor each January and the Frank Boas Award for the outstanding Second Year Seminar paper on a Pacific Asian topic. Frank was a widower and had no children. The Law School was his ohana and we miss him very much.
Memorial services will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 5pm at the Honolulu Museum of Art
Limited complimentary parking is available at the Honolulu Museum of Art School (1111 Victoria Street, Entrances on Beretania and Young Streets)
