The Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals will hold Oral Arguments at the William S. Richardson School of Law Moot Courtroom on Thursday, September 26, 2013.
Schedule for the day is as follows:
9:45 am Doors Open, Registration*
10:00 am Hearing on the Merits
11:00 am Hearing ends; Judges go to conference
11:20 am Q&A Session with Judges Panel (Moot Courtroom)
11:50 am Q&A Session with ICA Law Clerks; Judges go to Faculty Lunch
Note: This schedule is subject to change as deemed necessary by the Court.
Registration begins at 9:45 am.
*ID will be required to sign in. Bags, backpacks, etc will not be allowed into the Moot Courtroom. Beverages are also NOT allowed into the Moot Courtroom.
Electronic devices such as cell phones and laptops are allowed into the courthouse. In accordance with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit Electronic Devices Policy, “persons may use such devices to take notes, transmit and receive data communications, and access the internet... Persons may not use these devices for telephone calls, photographs, or audio or video recording or transmission...”

The hearings will begin at 10:00 am. The court will have discretion over the timing in which the cases are heard. Following the hearings, the Judges will have a brief Q&A Questions with Students, which will also be followed by a Student Q&A Lunch with the Law Clerks.
The briefs for each case will be available at the Library Reference desk for review until the day before the hearings.
