There are approximately 15,000 practicing lawyers and legal scholars in the Republic of Korea (South Korea), which include approximately 2,000 judges and prosecutors, 12,000 attorneys and 1,000 law professors.

Professor Choi will speak about some of the prominent lawyers and legal scholars in Korean legal history to illustrate the development of  the Korean legal system. Prof. Park will present the changing legal activities of the attorneys and prosecutors after the adoption of  the jury trial system.  Prof. Baik will introduce the roles of public interest lawyers in Korea.
