WSRSLAA Ohana (Family and Friends) Zoo Clean-Up (It's okay to bring children, but they need close adult supervision...we don't want them to get eaten by the lions or anything).
Saturday, July 31, 2010 @ 8:30 a.m. (we should be finished around 12 noon - maybe a little after depending on whether or not we can schedule an animal encounter - and participants are more than welcome to stay at the zoo and picnic)
The Honolulu Zoo. Please meet at "Gate 3" - which is the "back" entrance off of the Zoo parking lot by 8:30 a.m. If you are unable to meet us at 8:30 a.m. and will be arriving later, please go to the Zoo Entrance and tell them that you are with our organization. (The Zoo contact person's name is Barb Sacker). If you park in the Zoo's parking lot...it is 24-hour metered parking, so be prepared with lots of quarters. Otherwise, there is some limited street parking.
What to Bring:
- Please wear closed toe shoes (i.e. sneakers) - we don't want participants to get stepped on by any animals in their slippers.
- Shorts or pants are fine - but be prepared to get a little dirty (i.e. not "business casual").
- Don't forget the sun screen (it'll be hot!)
- Lunch (if you want to stay and picnic afterwards)
