Cynthia returned to the University of Hawai`i in Fall 2006 after years in private practice, government service and higher education, to become the Law School's first director of communications and external relations, and to teach. Previously, she specialized in civil litigation, public financing and real estate development and financing in private practice. Later she joined the Department of the Attorney General as a deputy attorney general serving the housing authorities and later as the Special Assistant to the Attorney General Margery S. Bronster in the 1990s. She rejoined private practice with Bronster Crabtree & Hoshibata and became a full-time professor of law and chair of the Justice Administration and Law programs at the Hawaii Pacific University. She was also involved in charitable service as the Board President of the Make A Wish Foundation of Hawaii and the chapter representative on the national board governance committee of the Make A Wish Foundation of America. Born and raised in Hawaii and a 1979 graduate of The Kamehameha Schools, Cynthia is married and mother of two boys, Henry and Samuel.
